The metro lines are namely:
- A purple line for the East-West metro line.
- A Greenline for North-South metro line.
The two lines meet at Kempe Gowda Station, where one can interchange between 2 lines.
The metro lines run in a mix of underground, at grade and elevated stations. Namma Metro currently has six coaches. The 2nd phase of the metro line is currently ongoing. It will provide connectivity to the IT hubs of the city – Electronic City and Whitefield.
It will also cover the eastern half of Outer Ring Road (ORR). Namma Metro will connect to the Kempegowda International Airport in north Bangalore.
